If you've ever thought that winning bingo is nothing but a pipedream, just take a look at Lucky Joe, a Racine County player who scooped thousands at a newly-opened casino.

According to the Journal Times, Scott Anderson Joe Salas took home a hearty $4,500 (£2,920) after sitting down to play bingo at the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, a move that seemed to set something of a trend for the fortuitous 64-year-old.

Since banking top dollar at the bingo, Lucky Joe – as he has been dubbed and with good reason – has lined his pockets with a further $1,200 while playing the slots in Las Vegas, hitting three sevens in a row. Fantastic!

But that's not all – his unbeatable streak has continued since that bingo win, emerging as the victor of the Wisconsin Lottery's Daily Pick 4 game eight times in two months. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

And he's not the only one to have had bingo success – the Express & Star recently reported that a 76-year-old scored a £128,000 bingo win.

So who says bingo doesn't pay?

Till next time, bingo bangos!
