And in one New Jersey facility, this might ring truer than ever now it is introducing computerised cards for our favourite game.
NorthJersey.com reports that the Maywood establishment will bring in the new high-tech form of bingo from September 2nd, which may mean it starts to attract a younger clientele eager to give innovative play a go.
However, long-time fans of the place need not stress – they're not selling out from the traditional form of the pastime just yet.
The old-fashioned paper variety will be on hand for anybody who prefers to keep their figures written down.
It could be that this hall is following in the footsteps of an Alabama property which, according to the Selma Times-Journal, has launched some electronic bingo cards of its own.
