Now, I'm no tea snob – I'll take whatever you've got, as long as it's hot and sugary – but I must admit, I'm tempted by the latest luxury cuppa.
Kitchen in the Circle, a Mancunian cafe in Barton Arcade, has just launched a new line of brews to its menu – including what is heralded as the most expensive hot beverage in the city.
The Mariage Freres Sacred White tea is on offer for a mere £25 per pot, but before you have to run to the kitchen for a sweet cup to calm down, it might be worth hearing exactly why the price is so high.
According to legend, the leaves of this drink – which is brewed in Sri Lanka – are incredibly exclusive and can only be hand-picked by women, wearing gloves and using golden scissors.
And, according to Manchester Confidential, it has more antioxidants than even green tea – so every slurp should be worth your while.
However, it's worth remembering that all tea is packed with these health-boosting properties, so until you hit your bingo jackpot and can afford the £25 brew, feel free to indulge in all the Tetley you like.
Will you be going on a tea-lover's pilgrimage to Manchester?
Wallets out, bingo fans.
