Bingo can be a great stress reliever – but sometimes I’m too busy to find time to get out to my favourite haunt to line up those numbers.
For this reason, I was glad to hear an expert claim that online games are getting more popular.
Cherry Hosking, company secretary of the Bingo Association, credits the renewed interest in playing through websites to the “tremendous social aspect” that it holds.
“It offers a social game as everyone is on the internet now … It is socially acceptable, they are small bets … People always say it’s just a bit of fun,” she explained.
She went on to note that many players who prefer the online form of the game may be those who would not normally attend clubs.
However, for those of us who prefer our bingo to be played indoors and our local halls to be discos or dancefloors, the news that an American property is to be transformed into a toe-tapping studio might be of interest.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Loyal Order of Moose’s games facility will become Sandra Lynn’s School of Dance.
Does online bingo float your boat?
Log on, bingo fans.
