Playing bingo is something that makes me really happy – and it’s even better when it’s for a good cause.

If this is the case for my fellow gamers, they might be interested to hear that one philanthropist has received a conditional grant to turn an establishment into a charity facility.

According to the Weatherford Democrat, Shad Robertson, owner of R&R Real Estate Development, has successfully applied to transform a former shop into a bingo hall.

He explained that he wanted to use the property to organise fundraisers for various organisations, for which he may lend out the structure to people hoping to use it as a charity bingo establishment.

“My goal is to not lease this out to run a traditional type of bingo hall,” he added.

Apparently, several associations, including a church, have already expressed their interest in doing so.

And these aren’t the only players using their hobby to do good – a similar facility in Brierley Hill recently volunteered their property to hold a tea party to benefit Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Doesn’t victory taste sweeter when it’s for the greater good?

Best of British luck, bingo players.
