I don’t know about you but winning the jackpot always makes me want to stand up and do a jig.

It might be fitting, then that a former bingo hall is to be turned into a dance studio.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, a female entrepreneur is hoping to revamp the Loyal Order of Moose’s games facility as a new location for Sandra Lynn’s School of Dance.

Sandy Donatelli will be taking over the building after former manager Vince Conforti admitted that membership to the club was dropping.

A dance studio isn’t the only maverick transformation for such a place to go through – it was recently reported by CBS42 that a similar facility in Alabama would be reborn as a church.

However, bingo won’t be silenced in the Pittsburgh area – Mr Conforti said that the group would be looking to buy a smaller place to keep the hits coming, although he observed that the building, which was constructed in the 1880s, would be missed.

He added: "[There are] a lot of memories there. It’s kind of sad to see it go, but you have to move on."

Ready to dance into first place at your local bingo hall?

Curtains up, bingo fans.
