I’ve played a lot of bingo in my time and would say without a doubt, one of the most satisfying moments of the hobby is scooping the jackpot.
Someone who might agree with me is the 20-year-old woman who was lucky enough to win £22,000 in the beautiful game while playing in a local hall in Penrith, Cumbria, according to the News & Star.
Although she only took up the occupation in January, she’s obviously come on in leaps and bounds – and the money might come in extra handy for her 21st birthday next month.
Manager of the hall Ethel Nicholls said that the other bingo players were "delighted" for the victor, adding: "It is absolutely fabulous. Everybody started cheering and she was shaking."
Ms Nicholls went on to note that younger people have been attending the games lately as well.
Meanwhile, a woman from Colchester recently bagged a prize of £250,000, half of which she shared with the other participants.
Can you beat their scores?
Good luck, bingo addicts.
