There’s nothing more that I love than settling down to a good game of bingo and winning just makes it all the better.
However, I’ve never been quite as lucky as one woman from Colchester, who recently bagged £250,000.
The individual, who has not been named, was playing the game in a local hall when her numbers came up.
She secured the jackpot prize, half of which was shared with the rest of the club.
As there were 248 players in the room at the time, they each picked up over £500.
Commenting on her good fortune, the winner said she was "ecstatic", adding that it has not yet sunk in.
She went on to note that she will not stop attending the bingo hall because she has won.
Recently, Maureen Klopocinski managed to scoop a £1,400 per-night upgrade on the Splendour of the Stars cruise ship as a result of her bingo success.
