Celebrity bingo fan Sheree Murphy has spoken out in defence of her man footballer Harry Kewell.
With all the World Cup celebrations currently take place, you might be finding it as hard as I am to escape the football mania sweeping the country.
And Murphy has been adding to the media chat related to the sport.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actress and TV personality disagreed with claims made by publicist Max Clifford that those who play the game are generally not very intelligent.
She said: "My husband’s certainly not thick and none of his friends are thick. They’re not silly. I just think that’s pretty mean to say that and I don’t agree with that at all."
Murphy went on to suggest that there are very clever women out there who are trying to "bag them".
Recently, the footballer’s wife noted she has always loved playing bingo and declared it makes for a "great night out".
Could bingo be your World Cup alternative?
Get playing, bingo fans.
