Like many people, I love nothing more than to settle down to a game of bingo in a local hall.

And it seems that residents in Cleveleys feel the same, as they have raised concerns over plans that will impact on their ability to do just that, the Blackpool Gazette reports.

Consent has been given to pull down a historic bingo hall in the area.

Wyre Council planning committee has given the green light for a supermarket to replace the 1934 Art Deco building.

Commenting on the situation, the news source said: "The only eyes down at the Orion Bingo Hall in Cleveleys now belong to workmen who have moved in to begin ripping down the [structure]."

Someone to have begun his career in a bingo hall is actor James Nesbitt, the Sunday Mercury recently revealed.

The Northern Irish pin-up worked as a caller at Barry’s Amusements in Portrush.

Do you love bingo hall action?

Keep attending, bingo fans.
