Earlier this month, we brought you the news that a bingo-themed stage production is taking the US by storm – and it appears we’ve stumbled upon a bit of a trend!
Now, according to the Times Herald-Record, two-time Tony-nominated actor Samuel E Wright has put together a hilarious 90-minute theatre comedy titled Bingo Murders.
Since the chilly winter months, he has been playing our favourite game in several places in the US to get a feel for bingo.
Now, he’s using this expertise to his advantage, with an action-packed story that combines a bingo night with the mystery surrounding three murders.
"The humour pops as quickly as N 51, 54, 63 and 74," the newspaper enthused.
Bingo Murders is the main event of a dinner and dancing fundraiser which is set to benefit the Hudson Valley Conservatory, which provides acting and dancing scholarships to support students.
Combining our favourite game with giving back to the community? There’s a cause I can get behind.
Keep playing, bingo lovers,
Jade Smith
