Is it possible that drinking a cup of tea everyday is the key to living a long life?
It would certainly appear so, as what was believed to be the oldest duck in the UK was a fan of a nice brew.
The BBC reports that Edwina, a 22-year-old mallard, used to have a penchant for sipping from a cup of tea each morning in the family home that she shared with owners Ian Knight and Christine Christopher.
Unfortunately, the tea-loving quacker recently died and her owners told the BBC they were "devastated".
Perhaps tea was the key to her surviving well into old age?
I’d like to believe so anyway because it gives me an excuse to drink cuppas all day long!
According to the British Trust for Ornithology, the oldest known duck in the UK is 20 years and five months old.
Do you believe in the powers of tea?
Keep believing readers.
